Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using Fides ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; we'll change the date above and highlight significant changes in the app.

2. What Fides is

Fides is a tracker for hotel and airline loyalty points and transferable points. You enter your balances and activity yourself; Fides does not connect to your loyalty accounts, your bank, or any credit card. We are independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any loyalty program.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Fides. Provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and let us know if you suspect unauthorised access. You can delete your account at any time from the app, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal or to infringe others' rights
• Disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service
• Scrape or use automated systems against the Service without permission
• Upload malicious code or attempt to access other users' data

5. Valuations are estimates, not advice

Points valuations, redemption figures, and the in-app concierge's suggestions are estimates and general information only — not financial or travel advice. Loyalty programs change their rules and award prices frequently. Always verify details with the program before making decisions. You are responsible for complying with each program's own terms.

6. Intellectual property

Fides and its content, features, and design are owned by us and protected by law. Your data remains yours. Please don't copy, resell, or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

7. Price and availability

Fides is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will make the price and terms clear before you choose to pay. We may change or discontinue features over time.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that valuations or third-party loyalty data are accurate, complete, or current.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fides is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost points, or losses arising from your reliance on estimates in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Barcelona, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
